Correction: This event was due to solar radio frequency interference (RFI). Solar RFI may affect Raw Data Link (RDL), GOES Rebroadcast (GRB), Telemetry and Command (T&C), High Rate Information Transmission (HRIT), Data Collection Platform Command (DCPC), and Search and Rescue (SAR).


GOES-16 solar RFI times occur 5 - 12 OCT between 1641z - 1655z at Wallops, Virginia; Suitland, Maryland; and Fairmont, West Virginia.


GOES-18 solar RFI times occur 3 - 11 OCT between 2117z - 2129z at Wallops, Virginia; Suitland, Maryland; and Fairmont, West Virginia.
